Campus

It’s located in Fuchu, a bit away from the city center, so it has a calm and peaceful atmosphere. There are lots of birds around.

Lab

When I first arrived, the room was empty, but it’s gradually starting to look like a real lab. We’ve now got a particle gun, a plate reader, a qPCR machine, and an analysis server, among other things.

Growth room

We installed a partition wall to create two separate growth rooms with different temperature and photoperiod conditions. This setup allows us to cultivate a large number of plants.

Weeds that have evolved herbicide resistance — we’re aiming to uncover the underlying principles behind their evolutionary mechanisms.
